Why am I running?
For the last 30 years I've been married to Melissa, raised 4 kids, started 5 businesses, and traveled to 46 countries, I've lived a blessed life and I want to give back to my community.
Wisconsin is a great state to live in and raise a family, but not a great state to start a small business. Small businesses are the backbone of a thriving economy, but today's buy local - shop local movement is stalled by unnecessary regulations.
I am willing to stand for the small business owner and the people they employ.
Committed to the Community & Charity
Giving back to the local and global community is a strong value we share as a family. I am privileged to serve on the board of an orphanage in Honduras called "Give Hope 2 Kids".
We also support a ministry in Argentina called "Shelter on the Lake" which provides housing and food to itinerant backpackers.
Locally we are the founders of the "Jesus Lunch" ministry in Middleton and even though our kids have graduated from Middleton High School we continue to support the efforts of those involved.
On the Issues...
I'm not a politician. People come into our coffeehouse everyday and meet their friends, family, clients, etc... They have a cup of coffee and a sticky bun and then they work out whatever the issue for that day is.
The issues I'm running on are simple - your first $30,000 should be tax-free, it's a privilege to serve you, and I believe we can find more common ground to move Wisconsin forward.
